Vardion's world blank Maps

These are the four basic images I used in creating locator maps found on various country pages (for example, India, Vietnam, Georgia (country), and Nicaragua). They can be freely used for anything you like.

All the maps show land in grey and sea in white. They have country borders marked in white. These colours may, of course, be changed - there isn't (or shouldn't be) any anti-aliasing, so colour changes shouldn't be too difficult. All maps are in PNG format.

• Image:BlankMap-World.png - A world map. Robinson projection centered on the Greenwich Prime Meridian. Quite large - 1357 x 628 pixels, 27354 bytes.
• Image:BlankMap-Europe.png - Europe as far east as western Russia and western Turkey. (The original version didn't have the former Soviet republics, but this one should). 415 x 422 pixels, 9421 bytes.
• Image:BlankMap-Caribbean.png - The Caribbean Sea, including part of South America, part of Central America, and part of Florida. Shows most significant islands, including (I think) all the small independent countries (such as Saint Lucia or Dominica). 419 x 445 pixels, 6446 bytes.
• Image:BlankMap-PersianGulf.png - the Persian Gulf area, showing all of Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, and the United Arab Emirates, as well as large parts of other countries like Saudi Arabia, Oman, Iran, and Iraq. 359 x 251 pixels, 3271 bytes.

Andy's country subdivision Maps

Several map templates created for building country subdivision locator maps. Maps are larger than necessary, so they need to be rescaled for using - best done with a "smart" rescale as the anti-aliasing effect will make them look more smooth. The percentage listed is the rescaling factor I used or suggest.
