Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant is the largest nuclear power plant not only in Ukraine but also in Europe. The plant is located in Zaporizhzhia. The plant has 6 WWER nuclear reactors, each with a power rating of 950 MW, with total power output of 5700 MW.
On October 11, 2001, the plant's reactor #4 suffered a malfunction and was shut down at 6:46 AM by a safety system after protection equipment in the reactor's steam generator malfunctioned.
