White Van Man is a usually pejorative term used in the United Kingdom for drivers of light commercial vehicles, which are commonly coloured white, the same colour they left the factory, since White Van Man typically does not label or paint his vehicle, in order not to reduce its resale value.
As a British social phenomenon, the White Van Man is considered to be an example of the self-employed or small businessman; often a builder or a plumber. White Van Men are often regarded by other road users as aggressive drivers.
