Walter Rauschenbusch (October 4, 1861-1918) was a progressive American Baptist minister, known as a leader in the social gospel movement.
From 1896 to 1897, he was a pastor at a Baptist church in the Hell's Kitchen area of Brooklyn, New York. From 1902 until his death, he was a professor at the Rochester Theological Seminary .
