V-Day is an awareness movement started by Eve Ensler, creator of The Vagina Monologues, in order to raise awareness of domestic violence and other forms of violence against women. It takes place on 14 February, Valentine's Day, when hundreds of organizations around the world stage performances of The Vagina Monologues.
