The Vision of the Anointed is a book by political columnist Thomas Sowell skewering people Sowell calls "teflon prophets", who predict that all sorts of social, economic, or environmental problems will occur without massive government intervention.
Sowell complains that these thinkers, writers, and activists continue to be revered by liberals even in the face of evidence which disproves their positions. He portrays them as promoters of a worldview concocted out of sheer fantasy, which is impervious to any real-world considerations.
