Stenosis

A stenosis is an abnormal narrowing in a blood vessel or other tubular organ or structure.

Commonly, atherosclerosis causes stenotic lesions in arteries. Stenoses can also be due to birth defects or disease processes including ischaemia, infection, neoplasm, or inflammation.
