Municipality of Southern Midlands
The Municipality of Southern Midlands is a local government area of Tasmania. It covers the southern part of the central farmland area, around the Midlands Highway.
Major population centres include the towns of Bagdad , Campania , Oatlands and Ross .
The municipal area has a population of 5,640 (2001 census).
