Skip Barber (born 16 November 1936 in Philadelphia, United States) was a Formula One driver who raced for the March team. He started his career racing in Formula Ford during 1969. At the start of the 1971 season he purchased a March 711, which he planned to take back to the United States and race in the US Formula 5000 series. Before he did so, he took part in the Monaco and Dutch Grands Prix and then contested the United States and Canadian races and again in 1972. After that he raced GT cars. However, he has become better known since his retirement thanks to his racing school and the Barber-Dodge Pro Series , an effective entry level formula in the United States.
