Simon Thomas (television presenter)

Simon Thomas (born January 26, 1973 in Cromer, Norfolk) is a British television presenter.

Thomas is a presenter of the children's programme Blue Peter, which he joined on 8 January 1999, replacing Richard Bacon. Prior to this he had worked at Children's BBC and the radio station LBC after earning a history degree from Birmingham University. He has run the London Marathon twice, climbed Mount Kilimanjaro as well as Mount Blanc, trained for a parachute jump with the RAF, presented a medal at the Commonwealth Games and even directed one edition of the show. During his time on the programme he also fulfilled his dream of skydiving. He also presented the Queen with a Blue Peter badge when she visited the studios.

On January 19, 2005, Simon announced that he will leave Blue Peter and his last show will be aired on 25th April, 2005.
