Sea sock

A sea sock is a waterproof bag that sits tightly around cockpit coaming of a kayak. The paddler sits in the sea sock. In the event of a capsize, water will only enter the sock, not the whole kayak.

Sea socks also reduce instability caused by water sloshing around inside the boat.
