Satellite Towns are envisaged by the planners of the City State of the Republic of Singapore. The earlier satellite towns of Toa Payoh, Mountbatten, Ang Mo Kio. Clementi, Jurong are housing estates presumed to radiate from the administrative hub of the older Town of the city. However the old term seemed to be antiquated by the more popular term of “housing estates”.
