Alexander Coe and John Digweed, better known as Sasha + Digweed are a pair of DJs. Their style of music is often called progressive house, but they implement several types of music in their sets for example techno, house, trance. They began working together in 1993 (see 1993 in music) and finally launched themselves into the mainstream with Northern Exposure in 1996 (see 1996 in music). In the late 1990s, they were superstars in the UK but still only cult figures in the US. Touring throughout the country, Sasha and Digweed also began doing some notable production for various artists and the duo began to break apart. Sasha has focused on a solo album, while Digweed has focused on a British nightclub called Bedrock. Digweed also has a record label with the same name.
