Runcorn Bridge

The Runcorn Bridge is bridge of steel construction which crosses the River Mersey linking the towns of Runcorn and Widnes. It is the longest bridge of its type in the United Kingdom.

The bridge is the first (road) crossing of the Mersey after the two toll tunnels at Liverpool. It is itself free to cross, though this may change if a second proposed crossing slightly further upstream is built.
