Romulus is the Capital of the Romulan Star Empire. Along with Remus, it is one of the two Romulan Home Worlds.
The worlds Romulus and Remus were settled by a Vulcan splinter group around 400 CE. These people later became the Romulans. Another theory suggests that the Vulcans actually originated on the planet Romulus and emigrated to Vulcan 2000 years ago.
