Plain correct is a rhetorical device used to indicate that speech or action is prudent, appropriate, good, and (ultimately) correct regardless of political considerations or presumed social conventions. It is used in opposition to both political correctness and criticisms of that movement. The phrase is almost always preceded by the word just. For example, treating people with respect may be considered "just plain correct".
