Peter Windsor (born on April 11, 1952 in England) does on-location reports from Formula 1 venues for SPEED Channel. He is also the moderator for Formula 1's post-qualifying and post-race press conferences. Technically, Windsor isn't really a SPEED employee. Besides his SPEED duties and his moderating, Windsor is the consultant editor for the magazine F1 Racing, where he also has a monthly column. Windsor has also worked for the Williams BMW and Scuderia Ferrari teams in Formula 1. He was a general manager at Ferrari, a team manager at Williams, and was Williams' sponsorship manager. Windsor's writing has won him five awards, and his previous television work (at least, the bulk of it) has all taken place with networks inside Rupert Murdoch's News Corporation. From 1998 to 2000, Windsor was the on-location reporter for FSN's Formula 1 coverage. He then joined Sky Sports as a pit reporter on their Digital F1 Plus package. He also worked as a pit reporter for the American Broadcasting Company's coverage of the 2002 United States Grand Prix.
In 1987 Windsor was in the car with Frank Williams that crashed on its way from the Paul Ricard Circuit in southern France to the Nice airport, leaving Windsor with minor injuries but Williams, who was driving, paralyzed.
