The Party for Democracy is a governing political party in Chile; it is social liberal in its political orientation. It governs as part of the Coalition of Parties for Democracy coalition, which includes the Christian Democratic Party of Chile. The current President of Chile, Ricardo Lagos, is a member of this party.
