Oranmore

Oranmore (Irish: Uaráin Mhóir) is a small village in County Galway on the outskirts of Galway City in Ireland.

Oranmore is rapidly becoming a commuter or suburban belt with major housing developments. However still manages to maintain its 'little village' charm, for example a thatched pub featuring in the main street.

Local industry has recently changed from primarily dairy agriculture to tourism, manufacturing and logistics with several industrial parks located near the village.

In 2004 it was listed as one of the town's with the highest per capita income in Ireland.
