Opéra de Monte-Carlo

The Opéra de Monte-Carlo is an opera house in Monaco.

The architect of the building was Charles Garnier, who also designed the Paris Opéra. It was inaugurated on January 25, 1879 with a performance by Sarah Bernhardt.

The theater became subsequently well-known for the many famous singers who performed there, including Adelina Patti, Francesco Tamagno, Nellie Melba, Enrico Caruso, Feodor Chaliapin, Mary Garden, Tito Schipa, Bejamin Gigli , Claudio Muzio , George Thill , and Lili Pons .
