Nachman Bulman

Nachman Bulman (1925-2002) was an influential American rabbi associated with Orthodox Judaism. He served as a synagogue rabbi and Jewish educator in number of cities in the United Sates for most of his life. In his retirement he moved to northern Israel and sereved as rabbi in Migdal Haemek.

Rabbi Bulman was a student of Rabbi Joseph Soloveitchik at Yeshiva University wher he received his ordination. However, in terms of religious ideology Rabbi Bulman chose to follow and be identified with Agudath Israel of America one of Haredi Judaism's largest movements.

He was a popular teacher, lecturer, writer, translator of Hebrew language works into English, and builder of Jewish communities in both America and Israel.

For a short time he taught at the yeshiva Ohr Somayach, Monsey, in upstate New York State, then moved on to teach at Migdal Ha’Emek in Israel, and finally served at the main Yeshiva Ohr Someach in Jerusalem.

Rabbi Bulman lived in Maalot Dafna, Israel.
