Metaphorical realism

In art, metaphorical realism takes inspiration from artists such as Salvador Dali and combines visual imagery using familiar objects, accurately drawn, but often juxtaposed in unexpected ways to relate a powerful story about man, god, creation or modern mythology. Often created to surprise and delight the viewer, metaphorical realism often leads the viewer through a journey of speculation about the meaning and story behind the painting. One of the foremost artists of this movement is the Russian-born painter Vladimir Kush, who now lives and works in Hawaii.
