Luis Alberto Herrera (born May 4, 1961) is a Colombian cyclist. He won the Vuelta a España in 1987; the Vuelta a Colombia in 1985, 1986, and 1988; and 5 jerseys of Mountain winner on the 3 great Tours.
Herrera was born in Fusagasugá , Colombia. At the 1984 Tour de France he won stage 17, becoming the first Colombian to win a stage of the race. He was kidnapped for 24 hours by FARC in 2000.
