Very few Canadian Senators have ever resigned their seat to run for a position in the Canadian House of Commons, but six have done so successfully.

In 2000 Bernard Boudreau resigned from the Senate to run as a Liberal candidate for the House of Commons but was defeated in the 2000 Canadian election.
