Landtag of Bavaria

The Landtag of Bavaria is Bavaria's unicameral legislature. Before 1999 there was an upper house, the Senate of Bavaria .

Composition of the Landtag after the 2003 elections -

The state government is formed by the CSU, with Edmund Stoiber as Minister-president.

Elections are conducted using a proportional representation system, with a mininum of 5% vote share to receive any seats.
