Léon Daudet (1867 – 1942) was a French author and an active Monarchist. He was the son of the novelist Alphonse Daudet. He was born in Paris. He vocally criticized the French Third Republic, and democracy in general. Together with Charles Maurras, he co-founded (1907) and was an editor of the right-wing periodical Action Française. He served as a deputy from 1919 to 1924 but failed to win election as a senator in 1927. Léon Daudet died in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence.
