Kamaleddin Behzad

Kamal eddin Behzad (sometimes Bihzad) (b. 1450 AD. in Herat) was a Persian master miniaturist and the founder of Persian painting in the Safavid era. His most famous works are Masmu'a (Taymur History, 1468), a scene from Sa'di's Bustan (1477) and Majnun. many of his paintings were done between 1486 and 1495. Behzad lived in Tabriz and died in 1520 A.H.
