Joze Ciuha (1924-) currently resides in Paris, is a Slovenian artist, with large international recognition and has been awarded with many important international prizes:

• Grand prix at the international graphic biennale at Seoul
• First prize of Mediterranean biennale in Alexandria
• prices at biennale in Krakow and Ljubljana
• "Chevalier des art et letters" by the French minister of culture
• "Golden medal for artistic promotion" by the president of Austria, 2004 Permanent Member of Russian Academy of Art
• many other prizes.
