John Marshall Watson, born May 4, 1946 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, was a Formula 1 race car driver.
Driving for Team McLaren, he won the 1981 British Grand Prix at Silverstone then the following year captured the 1982 Belgian Grand Prix and the United States Grand Prix at Detroit, Michigan.
At the end of his F1 career, in 1985 he turned to the racing of sports cars. After retiring from active racing, he worked as a television commentator and managed a racetrack.
