John Josiah Robinette (November 20, 1906 - November 18, 1996) was a Canadian lawyer who was one of Canada's premier legal authorities.
Born in Toronto, Ontario, he received a B.A. in political science from the University of Toronto in 1926. He was a member of the Beta Theta Pi fraternity. He graduated from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1929. He was appointed King's Counsel in 1944. From 1958 until 1962 he was treasurer of the Law Society of Upper Canada.
In 1973 he was made a Companion of the Order of Canada.
