Ian Mune, born in Auckland, New Zealand in 1941, is a character actor and director. He directed Came a Hot Friday , which featured comedian Billy T. James as the Tainui Kid, and What Becomes of the Broken Hearted?, the sequel to Once Were Warriors. The short-lived television series Letter to Blanchy also saw its original episodes directed by Mune. He featured in numerous New Zealand television dramas and played Bounder in the film adaptation of The Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring.
