Hermann Huppen, born July 17, 1938, is a Belgian comic book artist. He is better known under his pen-name Hermann. He is most famous for his post-apocalyptic comic Jeremiah which was made into a television series.
Biography
Hermann made is debut as comic book artist in 1964 in Greg's studio. In 1966, he begins to draw the Bernard Prince series (that he will later give up to Danny ) on a scenario of Greg, in the Tintin periodical. In 1969, still on scenarios of Greg, he starts the western series Comanche . This series came at the same time than other western series like Blueberry.
From 1977, willing to write his own stories, he starts the post-apocalyptic Jeremiah series, still on-going today. In 1983, he starts a new middle age series Les Tours de Bois-Maury, less focused on action his other works.
Simultaneously, he created numerous one-shot graphic novels.
