Hayato Tani (谷 隼人 Tani Hayato) (September 9, 1946 - ) is a Japanese television actor.
He played as General Tani in Takeshi's Castle. He was born Hajime Iwatani in Nagasaki, Japan in 1946. He married first in 1971 and was re-married to actress Kikko Matsuoka in 1981. Matsuoko and Tani and worked together previously on television shows. He is also sometimes credited as Hayati Tani. Tani stands 178 cm (5 ft 8 in) and weighs 78 kg (12 st). His hobbies include baseball and golf.
