Gurinder Chadha is a British film director of Indian origin. She was born in Kenya and grew up in Southall, London.

In 2002, she directed the smash hit movie, Bend it like Beckham. In 2004, she made Bride and Prejudice with Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai.
