Timur's mausoleum
Gur-e Amir at Samarkand
Gur-e Amir is mausoleum of Asian conqueror Timur in Samarkand (now in Uzbekistan).
After death of his grandson Mukhammad Sultan in 1403 Timur ordered to build the mausoleum for him. With time, the Gur-e Amir became the family mauzoleum of the Timurid dynasty.
