Gotlandia Regiment, or Gotlands regemente, also P 18, is a Swedish Army armoured regiment that traces its origins back to the 19th Century. It is still in active service.
History
The regiment was created from the Gotlandia Infantry Regiment and one armoured battalion of the Göta Armoured Life Guards in 1963. It was given the designation P 18 (18th Armoured Regiment). For a short time in the 1990s, the unit was merged with the wartime organized Gotlandia Brigade . In 2000, the unit was reorganized and renamed back to its old designatiot and name.
