François Hollande (born August 12, 1954) is a French politician.
He was born in Rouen (Seine-Maritime).
As of 2004, he is the chairman of the French Socialist Party. He is also a deputy from the département of Corrèze and the mayor of Tulle.
His former profession is councillor in the Cour des Comptes (French General Accounting Office).
His partner is politician Ségolène Royal, with whom he has several children.
