The Ford Bantam is a utility vehicle sold by the Ford Motor Company in South Africa. It is a pick-up truck (known in South African English as a 'bakkie') based on the Ford Fiesta, and is a design from Brazil. The original Ford Bantam was based on the Ford Escort, before being replaced by a version of the Mazda-based Ford Laser.
