EOS was an operating system developed by ETA Systems for use in their ETA-10 line of supercomputers in the 1980s. However, EOS was poorly received and developed a reputation for problems to the extent that some customers refused to pay for their supercomputer installations. For this reason, ETA later released a port of UNIX for the ETA-10 line, which was better accepted by their customer base.
