Didier Deschamps

Didier Deschamps (born October 15 1968 in Bayonne) is a French football (soccer) player and manager, who currently is the head coach of AS Monaco in France's Ligue 1. Deschamps captained France to victories in the 1998 World Cup and Euro 2000.

On the club level, Deschamps played for Nantes (1985-90), Olympique Marseille (1990 and 1991-94), Bordeaux (1990-91), Juventus (1994-99), Chelsea (1999-2000) and Valencia (2000-01). With Juventus, he won the Champions League in 1996.

For France, Deschamps earned 102 caps and scored four goals. He was named by Pelé as one of the top 125 greatest living footballers in March 2004.
