County highway

A county highway (also county road, county route, usually abbreviated CR) is a road in the United States that is usually maintained by the county highway department. Numbering may be coordinated by the state. Shields are usually a yellow-on-blue pentagon or a black-on-white rectangle. The majority of states have county highways.
