Corded ware

Corded ware is pottery having an ornamental pattern created by a cord impressed in the unfired clay. This kind of pottery was a characteristic artifact of the neolithic Battle-axe people. A well known example is the AOC (for All Over Corded) vessel, considered to be an early Beaker type.
