The Committee of 100 is a non-partisan group of prominent Americans of Chinese descent with the mission to "pool their strengths and experience to address important issues concerning the Chinese-American community, as well as issues affecting U.S.-China relations." [1]
The Committee of 100, for peace and against war and nuclear weapons, was also a United Kingdom anti-war group. It was set up in 1960 by Bertrand Russell who resigned from the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament, which he was also central to setting up, in order to form this more militant group. Its members used and advocated civil disobedience to achieve their aims.
