Celebrinots

Celebrinots non - entities feigning celebrity.

A new phenomena whereby average Joes dress in a manner that imitates celebrities in their "dress down and don't get recognized" day wear. Standard apparel are shades, baseball cap, jacket with collars up, and sweat pants with trainers. All brand spanking new and expensively branded. It is a curious method of being conspicuously inconspicuous. Where Celebrities still want to be recognized but use this leisure uniform as a pleb shield, a "see me, admire me, but leave me the f**k alone" outwear statement, Celebrinots want a greater degree of interaction. They want people to try and recognize them in the street, with the holy grail being a passing pleb asking "'scuze me, are you famous?" or even a pap (see paparazzi ) tailing them briefly before realizing they are simply pretending to be famous. Avalon I imagine for a Celibrinot would be a place where they would receive a knowing wink, or smirking tut from a passing person who is indeed famous, a brothers in arms recognition, or rather sisters in caps acceptance in to the fold of the familiar. Celibrinots are not dissimilar to celebrity look a likes except they do not resemble anyone in particular, just the attire and stance of the well known in general.

Famous is rapidly becoming a status tag that has less and less to do with the level of notoreity any given individual may have, and is merely developing into a state of being, based on how you are perceived by your fellow man.

Places to look for Celbrinots are on the Golden T in London, England ( Bond Street , Conduit Street) where you will see them hastily wondering around with there heads to the ground, trying desperately to get "papped" or at the very least, pointed at.
