Cabin Fever (movie)

Cabin Fever (2002) is an American Horror movie written and directed by newcomer Eli Roth. It is a 1970s genre kickback, and pays homage to some of the most popular horror films, the Evil Dead by Sam Raimi, The Texas Chainsaw Massacre original by Tobe Hooper and The Last House on the Left by horror master Wes Craven.

Plot

The story is relatively simple; five college graduates go and spend their last few days as teens in a remote cabin in the woods. But one of the friends contracts a flesh eating virus (Necrotizing fasciitis), and it spreads through-out the group. The group turn on each other, so no one knows friends from foes. The story is by Eli Roth, and it was inspired by his real life case of a flesh eating virus.

A sequel to the film, which will no doubt involve Eli Roth, is expected to be due out in late 2005.
