Bunny hug

The Bunny hug (or the Rabbit Dance in Germany) was a dancing style performed by young people, especially flappers, in the early 20th century. It was considered "wrong" by the morals of the time, as the dance movements were an imitation of sexual intercourse of rabbits. It was singled out by critics for special censure. It is thought to have originated in San Francisco, California in 1911 at the Fairmont Hotel, or in 1914 in Germany. To the tune of slow blues, male and female dance partners would shake and wiggle their bodies, and grind them together (similar to modern dance's grinding).
