Boris Badenov, a 'no-goodnik' from Pottsylvania, is perhaps the most persistent enemy of Rocky and Bullwinkle. As a spy sent by his fearless leader, named Fearless Leader, he endeavors to eliminate "moose and squirrel" on a regular basis, without success. The character's name is probably a play on the name of the opera Boris Godunov.
