Bashir Ali Mohammad

Bashir Ali Mohammad is the son of Haji Ali Mohammad the legendary memon philanthropist and entrepreneur who introduced Pakistan’s first national branded drink Pakola. Over the years his family due to its association with the Pakola beverage had come to be known as Pakolawala’s. Bashir Ali Mohammad is recognized for his efforts made to assist various high end government delegations with their negotiations in foreign countries. Bashir Ali Mohammad is also the chairman of the Paksitan British Advisory Board. He has also been the chairman of APTMA (All Pakistan Textile Mills Association) and served on the Export Promotion Bureau of Pakistan. He is also on the fund raising board of the Aga Khan University Hospital. Bashir Ali Mohammad is the chairman of the Gul Ahmed Group which has diversified interests in many sectors. Their primary concerns include: Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited, Gul Ahmed Energy Limited, and Metropolitan Bank Limited. Bashir Ali Mohammad is known to be a creative entrepreneur. The group have recently started a chain of retail stores under the name of (Ideas by Gul Ahmed) and have also recently made investments in an up and coming BPO unit. The family is recognized as being extremely charitable and conservative in nature and continues to impress upon Pakistan’s people with their work in the field of charitable institutions, they are especially known for establishing medical centres and providing shelter along with employment for the people.
