Criticize Confucius, Criticize Lin Biao

Criticize Lin Biao, Criticize Confucius (评林评孔; Pinyin: ping Lin [Biao] ping Kong; lit.: "criticize Lin, criticize Confucius) was a campaign started by Mao's fourth wife Jiang Qing that lasted from 1972 and 1974, which was an extension of the then-current anti-Lin Biao campaign. Lin’s alleged treason was linked to its ancient supposed moral equivalent, Confucius’s alleged attempt to roll back the tide of history by upholding the values of the Slave Society of Western Zhou . It is part of a series of campaigns in the latter stages of the Cultural Revolution.
