Aegyptopithecus

Aegyptopithecus, also called the Dawn Ape, is an early fossil hominid considered an important link between primates and earlier mammals. It lived some 33 million years ago, and likely resembled modern-day lemurs. Aegyptopithecus fossils have been found primarily in modern-day Egypt.
